  6. These are the names of the men: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.

  7. Of the tribe of the children of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud.

  8. Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon.

  9. Of the tribe of the children of Dan a prince, Bukki the son of Jogli.

  10. Of the children of Joseph: of the tribe of the children of Manasseh a prince, Hanniel the son of Ephod.

  11. Of the tribe of the children of Ephraim a prince, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan.

  12. Of the tribe of the children of Zebulun a prince, Elizaphan the son of Parnach.

  13. Of the tribe of the children of Issachar a prince, Paltiel the son of Azzan.

  14. Of the tribe of the children of Asher a prince, Ahihud the son of Shelomi.

  15. Of the tribe of the children of Naphtali a prince, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.”

  16. These are they whom the LORD commanded to divide the inheritance to the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.

  17. For the LORD your God brings you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of springs, and underground water flowing into valleys and hills;

  18. a land of wheat and barley, and vines and fig trees and pomegranates; a land of olive trees and honey;

  19. a land in which you shall eat bread without scarceness, you shall not lack anything in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you may dig copper.

  20. For the land, where you go in to possess it, isn’t as the land of Egypt, that you came out of, where you sowed your seed, and watered it with your foot, as a garden of herbs;

  21. but the land, where you go over to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys which drinks water from the rain of the sky,

  22. a land which the LORD your God cares for. the LORD your God’s eyes are always on it, from the beginning of the year even to the end of the year.

  23. For if you shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cling to him;

  24. then will the LORD drive out all these nations from before you, and you shall dispossess nations greater and mightier than yourselves.

  25. Every place whereon the sole of your foot treads shall be yours: from the wilderness, and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even to the western sea shall be your border.
