  16. These are they Whom the Lord hath commanded to divide the land of Chanaan to the children of Israel.

  17. For the Lord thy God will bring thee into a good land, of brooks and of waters, and of fountains: in the plains of which and the hills deep rivers break out:

  18. A land of wheat, and barley, and vineyards, wherein fig trees and pomegranates, and oliveyards grow: a land of oil and honey.

  19. Where without any want thou shalt eat thy bread, and enjoy abundance of all things: where the stones are iron, and out of its hills are dug mines of brass:

  20. For the land, which thou goest to possess, is not like the land of Egypt, from whence thou camest out, where, when the seed is sown, waters are brought in to water it after the manner of gardens.

  21. But it is a land of hills and plains, expecting rain from heaven.

  22. And the Lord thy God doth always visit it, and his eyes are on it from the beginning of the year unto the end thereof.

  23. For if you keep the commandments which I command you, and do them, to love the Lord your God, and walk in all his ways, cleaving unto him,

  24. The Lord will destroy all these nations before your face, and you shall possess them, which are greater and stronger than you.

  25. Every place, that your foot shall tread upon, shall be yours. From the desert, and from Libanus, from the great river Euphrates unto the western sea shall be your borders.
