David unites the tribes, conquers Jerusalem, and establishes Israel's golden age—even through deep personal failure.

he allowed no one to oppress them. Yes, for their sakes he rebuked even kings:

Sing to ADONAI, all the earth! Proclaim his victory day after day!

For ADONAI is great, and greatly to be praised; he is to be feared more than all gods.
