  1. Therefore watch, remembering that for a period of three years I didn’t cease to admonish everyone night and day with tears.

  2. for if God didn’t spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you.

  3. Do this, knowing the time, that it is already time for you to awaken out of sleep, for salvation is now nearer to us than when we first believed.

  8. Therefore let him who thinks he stands be careful that he doesn’t fall.

  9. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread, and drink of the cup.

  10. Watch! Stand firm in the faith! Be courageous! Be strong!

  11. in labor and travail, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, and in cold and nakedness.

  12. Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also aren’t tempted.

  13. Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise;

  14. with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the holy ones:

  15. Beware of the dogs, beware of the evil workers, beware of the false circumcision.

  16. Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.

  17. Continue steadfastly in prayer, watching therein with thanksgiving;

  18. Tell Archippus, “Take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you fulfill it.”

  19. But you, brothers, aren’t in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief.

  20. so then let’s not sleep, as the rest do, but let’s watch and be sober.

  21. For those who sleep, sleep in the night, and those who are drunk are drunk in the night.

  22. Test all things, and hold firmly that which is good.

  23. Pay attention to yourself, and to your teaching. Continue in these things, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.

  24. But you be sober in all things, suffer hardship, do the work of an evangelist, and fulfill your ministry.

  25. Therefore we ought to pay greater attention to the things that were heard, lest perhaps we drift away.
