  1. Beware, brothers, lest perhaps there be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God;

  2. looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it;

  3. Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they watch on behalf of your souls, as those who will give account, that they may do this with joy, and not with groaning, for that would be unprofitable for you.

  8. We have the more sure word of prophecy; and you do well that you heed it, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns, and the morning star arises in your hearts:

  9. You therefore, beloved, knowing these things beforehand, beware, lest being carried away with the error of the wicked, you fall from your own steadfastness.

  10. We know that whoever is born of God doesn’t sin, but he who was born of God keeps himself, and the evil one doesn’t touch him.

  11. Watch yourselves, that we don’t lose the things which we have accomplished, but that we receive a full reward.

  12. But you, beloved, keep building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit.

  13. Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah to eternal life.

  14. Wake up, and keep the things that remain, which you were about to throw away, for I have found no works of yours perfected before my God.

  15. Remember therefore how you have received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If therefore you won’t watch, I will come as a thief, and you won’t know what hour I will come upon you.

  16. I am coming quickly! Hold firmly that which you have, so that no one takes your crown.

  17. “Behold, I come like a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his clothes, so that he doesn’t walk naked, and they see his shame.”
