  1. Take heed, brethren, lest perhaps there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, to depart from the living God.

  10. We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not: but the generation of God preserveth him and the wicked one toucheth him not.

  11. Look to yourselves, that you lose not the things which you have wrought: but that you may receive a full reward.

  12. But you, my beloved, building yourselves upon your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

  13. Keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, unto life everlasting.

  14. Be watchful and strengthen the things that remain, which are ready to die. For I find not thy works full before my God.

  15. Have in mind therefore in what manner thou hast received and heard: and observe and do penance: If then thou shalt not watch, I will come to thee as a thief: and thou shalt not know at what hour I will come to thee.

  16. Behold, I come quickly: hold fast that which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

  17. Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
