  1. Of these were the isles of the nations divided in their lands, every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.

  10. So Jehovah scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off building the city.

  11. Therefore was the name of it called Babel; because Jehovah did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did Jehovah scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

  22. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

  23. Now there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven.

  24. And when this sound was heard, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speaking in his own language.

  25. And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying, Behold, are not all these that speak Galilæans?
