  1. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

  2. And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

  3. Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

  4. ¶ Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

  5. Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

  6. And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

  7. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

  8. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

  9. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

  10. Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

  11. For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;

  12. And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

  13. We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;

  14. So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:

  15. ¶ Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:

  16. ¶ In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

  17. But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

  18. Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore years old, having been the wife of one man,

  19. Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.

  20. ¶ Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

  21. For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.

  22. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

  23. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

  24. That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.

  25. ¶ For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
