  1. And the servant returning, told these things to his lord. Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant: Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city; and bring in hither the poor and the feeble and the blind and the lame.

  2. And the servant said: Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded; and yet there is room.

  3. And the Lord said to the servant: Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.

  4. But I say unto you that none of those men that were invited shall taste of my supper.

  5. And a certain ruler asked him, saying: Good master, what shall I do to possess everlasting life?

  6. And Jesus said to him: Why dost thou call me good? None is good but God alone.

  7. Thou knowest the commandments: Thou shalt not kill. Thou shalt not commit adultery: Thou shalt not steal: Thou shalt not bear false witness: Honour thy father and mother.

  8. Who said: All these things have I kept from my youth.

  9. Which when Jesus had heard, he said to him: Yet one thing is wanting to thee. Sell all whatever thou hast and give to the poor: and thou shalt have treasure in heaven. And come, follow me.

  10. He having heard these things, became sorrowful: for he was very rich.

  11. And Jesus seeing him become sorrowful, said: How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God

  12. Who said to them: Amen, I say to you, there is no man that hath left home or parents or brethren or wife or children, for the kingdom of God's sake,

  13. Who shall not receive much more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.

  14. Then Jesus took unto him the twelve and said to them: Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and all things shall be accomplished which were written by the prophets concerning the Son of man.

  15. For he shall be delivered to the Gentiles and shall be mocked and scourged and spit upon.

  16. And after they have scourged him, they will put him to death. And the third day he shall rise again.

  17. And he began to speak to the people this parable: A certain man planted a vineyard and let it out to husbandmen: and he was abroad for a long time.

  18. And at the season he sent a servant to the husbandmen, that they should give him of the fruit of the vineyard. Who, beating him, sent him away empty.

  19. And again he sent another servant. But they beat him also and, treating him reproachfully, sent him away empty.

  20. And again he sent the third: and they wounded him also and cast him out.

  21. Then the lord of the vineyard said: What shall I do? I will send my beloved son. It may be, when they see him, they will reverence him.

  22. Whom, when the husbandmen saw, they thought within themselves, saying: This is the heir. Let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.

  23. So casting him out of the vineyard, they killed him. What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do to them?

  24. He will come and will destroy these husbandmen and will give the vineyard to others. Which they hearing, said to him: God forbid.

  25. But he looking on them, said: What is this then that is written, The stone, which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner?
