  11. And said to them: Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me; and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me. For he that is the lesser among you all, he is the greater.

  12. And he said to them: Behold, as you go into the city, there shall meet you a man carrying a pitcher of water: follow him into the house where he entereth in.

  13. And you shall say to the goodman of the house: The master saith to thee: Where is the guest chamber, where I may eat the pasch with my disciples?

  14. And he will shew you a large dining room, furnished. And there prepare.

  15. And they going, found as he had said to them and made ready the pasch.

  16. But Jesus did not trust himself unto them: for that he knew all men,

  17. And because he needed not that any should give testimony of man: for he knew what was in man.

  18. Jesus saith to her: Go, call thy husband, and come hither.

  19. The woman answered and said: I have no husband. Jesus said to her: Thou hast said well: I have no husband.

  20. For thou hast had five husbands: and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband. This, thou hast said truly.

  21. The woman saith to him: Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.

  22. The woman therefore left her waterpot and went her way into the city and saith to the men there:

  23. Come, and see a man who has told me all things whatsoever I have done. Is not he the Christ?

  24. Jesus saith to him: He that is washed needeth not but to wash his feet, but is clean wholly. And you are clean, but not all.

  25. For he knew who he was that would betray him; therefore he said: You are not all clean.
