  1. And the servant came, and told his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor and maimed and blind and lame.

  2. And the servant said, Lord, what thou didst command is done, and yet there is room.

  3. And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and constrain them to come in, that my house may be filled.

  10. But when he heard these things, he became exceeding sorrowful; for he was very rich.

  11. And Jesus seeing him said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!

  12. And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or wife, or brethren, or parents, or children, for the kingdom of God’s sake,

  13. who shall not receive manifold more in this time, and in the world to come eternal life.

  14. And he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all the things that are written through the prophets shall be accomplished unto the Son of man.

  15. For he shall be delivered up unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and shamefully treated, and spit upon:

  16. and they shall scourge and kill him: and the third day he shall rise again.

  17. And he began to speak unto the people this parable: A man planted a vineyard, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into another country for a long time.

  18. And at the season he sent unto the husbandmen a servant, that they should give him of the fruit of the vineyard: but the husbandmen beat him, and sent him away empty.

  19. And he sent yet another servant: and him also they beat, and handled him shamefully, and sent him away empty.

  20. And he sent yet a third: and him also they wounded, and cast him forth.

  21. And the lord of the vineyard said, What shall I do? I will send my beloved son; it may be they will reverence him.

  22. But when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned one with another, saying, This is the heir; let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.

  23. And they cast him forth out of the vineyard, and killed him. What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do unto them?

  24. He will come and destroy these husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others. And when they heard it, they said, God forbid.

  25. But he looked upon them, and said, What then is this that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, The same was made the head of the corner?
