¶ The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.

Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live: for thy law is my delight.

They had almost consumed me upon earth; but I forsook not thy precepts.

¶ MEM. O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.

I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.

¶ I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word.

¶ I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me.

Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

¶ NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

¶ I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments.

¶ My soul is continually in my hand: yet do I not forget thy law.

I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes alway, even unto the end.

¶ PE. Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them.

¶ LORD, I have hoped for thy salvation, and done thy commandments.

¶ My soul hath kept thy testimonies; and I love them exceedingly.

I have kept thy precepts and thy testimonies: for all my ways are before thee.

що Ти перемогу царям подає́ш, що рятуєш Давида, Свого раба, від лихого меча́!

А хто мене слухає, той буде жити безпе́чно, і буде спокійний від страху перед злом!“

Хто заповідь охороня́є, той душу свою стереже́; хто дороги свої легкова́жить, — помре.

Хто Зако́н береже́, розумний той син, а хто во́диться із гультяя́ми, засоро́млює ба́тька свого́.

Як захочете ви та послухаєтесь, то бу́дете до́бра землі спожива́ти.

Бо лиш справу оцю Я звелів їм, говорячи: Слухайтеся Мого голосу, і Я буду вам Богом, а ви бу́дете наро́дом Моїм, і ходіть усією дорогою, про яку накажу́ вам, щоб вам було до́бре.

А скажете ви: „Чому́ той син не поніс провину за батька?“ Але ж син той чинив право та справедливість, дотримував усі устави Мої й виконував їх, — він конче буде жити!

А коли Я скажу́ до несправедливого: Конче помреш ти, а він наве́рнеться від свого гріха́, і робитиме право та справедливість:

заста́ву поверне несправедливий, грабу́нок відшкоду́є, ходитиме уставами життя, щоб не чинити кривди, то конче буде він жити, не помре!
