  1. The law of thy mouth is better unto me Than thousands of gold and silver. י YODH.

  16. I have observed thy precepts and thy testimonies; For all my ways are before thee. ת TAV.

  17. Teach me to do thy will; For thou art my God: Thy Spirit is good; Lead me in the land of uprightness.

  18. But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell securely, And shall be quiet without fear of evil.

  19. He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his soul; But he that is careless of his ways shall die.

  20. Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son; But he that is a companion of gluttons shameth his father.

  21. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

  22. but this thing I commanded them, saying, Hearken unto my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people; and walk ye in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.

  23. Yet say ye, Wherefore doth not the son bear the iniquity of the father? When the son hath done that which is lawful and right, and hath kept all my statutes, and hath done them, he shall surely live.

  24. Again, when I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right;

  25. if the wicked restore the pledge, give again that which he had taken by robbery, walk in the statutes of life, committing no iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die.
