  1. ¶ The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.

  2. Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live: for thy law is my delight.

  3. They had almost consumed me upon earth; but I forsook not thy precepts.

  4. ¶ MEM. O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.

  12. I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes alway, even unto the end.

  13. ¶ PE. Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them.

  14. ¶ LORD, I have hoped for thy salvation, and done thy commandments.

  15. ¶ My soul hath kept thy testimonies; and I love them exceedingly.

  16. I have kept thy precepts and thy testimonies: for all my ways are before thee.

  17. Who givest salvation to kings: who hast redeemed thy servant David from the malicious sword:

  18. But he that shall hear me, shall rest without terror, and shall enjoy abundance, without fear of evils.

  19. He that keepeth the commandment, keepeth his own soul: but he that neglecteth his own way, shall die.

  20. He that keepeth the law, is a wise son: but he that feedeth gluttons, shameth his father.

  21. If you be willing, and will hearken to me, you shall eat the good things of the land.

  22. But this thing I commanded them, saying: Hearken to my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people: and walk ye in all the way that I have commanded you, that it may be well with you.

  23. And you say: Why hath not the son borne the iniquity of his father? Verily, because the son hath wrought judgment and justice, hath kept all my commandments, and done them, living, he shall live.

  24. And it I shall say to the wicked: Thou shalt surely die: and he do penance for his sin, and do judgment and justice,

  25. And if that wicked man restore the pledge, and render what he had robbed, and walk in the commandments of life, and do no unjust thing: he shall surely live, and shall not die.
