And if he shall come in the second watch or come in the third watch and find them so, blessed are those servants.
Jesus therefore said to them: When you shall have lifted up, the Son of man, then shall you know that I am he and that I do nothing of myself. But as the Father hath taught me, these things I speak.
Amen, amen, I say to you: If any man keep my word, he shall not see death for ever.
I must work the works of him that sent me, whilst it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
My sheep hear my voice. And I know them: and they follow me.
If you love me, keep my commandments.
Jesus answered and said to him: If any one love me, he will keep my word. And my Father will love him and we will come to him and will make our abode with him.
But that the world may know that I love the Father: and as the Father hath given me commandments, so do I. Arise, let us go hence.
If you keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love: as I also have kept my Father's commandments and do abide in his love.
You are my friends, if you do the things that I command you.
You have not chosen me: but I have chosen you; and have appointed you, that you should go and should bring forth fruit; and your fruit should remain: that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
But Peter and John answering, said to them: If it be just, in the sight of God, to hear you rather than God, judge ye.
But Peter and the apostles answering, said: We ought to obey God rather than men.
But thanks be to God, that you were the servants of sin but have obeyed from the heart unto that form of doctrine into which you have been delivered.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus in good works, which God hath prepared that we should walk in them.
Wherefore, my dearly beloved, (as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only but much more now in my absence) with fear and trembling work out your salvation.
Then said I: Behold I come: in the head of the book it is written of me: that I should do thy will, O God.
And whosoever shall keep the whole law, but offend in one point, is become guilty of all.
For he that said: Thou shalt not commit adultery, said also: Thou shalt not kill. Now if thou do not commit adultery, but shalt kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.
So speak ye and so do, as being to be judged by the law of liberty.
According to the foreknowledge of God the Father, unto the sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ. Grace unto you and peace be multiplied.
As children of obedience, not fashioned according to the former desires of your ignorance,
And by this we know that we have known him, if we keep his commandments.
He who saith that he knoweth him and keepeth not his commandments is a liar: and the truth is not in him.
But he that keepeth his word, in him in very deed the charity of God is perfected. And by this we know that we are in him.
