  1. And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.

  2. And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him: who, when he was come, helped them much which had believed through grace:

  3. For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.

  9. For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed,

  10. Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

  11. Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man's foundation:

  12. But as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see: and they that have not heard shall understand.

  13. ¶ Now if Timotheus come, see that he may be with you without fear: for he worketh the work of the Lord, as I also do.

  14. Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

  15. ¶ O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged.

  16. ¶ Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;

  17. How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.

  18. For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves;

  19. Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.

  20. And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.

  21. ¶ But thanks be to God, which put the same earnest care into the heart of Titus for you.

  22. For indeed he accepted the exhortation; but being more forward, of his own accord he went unto you.

  23. And we have sent with him the brother, whose praise is in the gospel throughout all the churches;

  24. For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults:

  25. And lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and that I shall bewail many which have sinned already, and have not repented of the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they have committed.
