Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him [ought] to eat?
Have any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed on him?
I desired Titus, and with [him] I sent a brother. Did Titus make a gain of you? walked we not in the same spirit? [walked we] not in the same steps?
Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.
Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?
And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?
Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also.

And they said, Thou hast not defrauded us, nor oppressed us, neither hast thou taken ought of any man's hand.
For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
¶ But thanks [be] to God, which put the same earnest care into the heart of Titus for you.
Whether [any do enquire] of Titus, [he is] my partner and fellowhelper concerning you: or our brethren [be enquired of, they are] the messengers of the churches, [and] the glory of Christ.
Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus;
But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state.
But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel.
And Moses was very wroth, and said unto the LORD, Respect not thou their offering: I have not taken one ass from them, neither have I hurt one of them.

And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, [yea], and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.
Therefore I said, Surely these [are] poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the LORD, [nor] the judgment of their God.
I will get me unto the great men, and will speak unto them; for they have known the way of the LORD, [and] the judgment of their God: but these have altogether broken the yoke, [and] burst the bonds.
And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?
And he took [it], and did eat before them.
Trust in the LORD, and do good; [so] shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
[Let your] conversation [be] without covetousness; [and be] content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him [that is] from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.
¶ Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done?
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
¶ And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?
And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?
Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?
And they began to be sorrowful, and to say unto him one by one, [Is] it I? and another [said, Is] it I?
When I therefore was thus minded, did I use lightness? or the things that I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, that with me there should be yea yea, and nay nay?
Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.
