Bible Verses About Christ is God
Key Bible Verses
In the womb he took his brother by the heel; in the strength of his manhood he fought with God.
Yes, he fought with an angel and won; he wept and pleaded with him. Then at Beit-El he found him, and there he would [later] speak with us
Adonai ELOHEI-Tzva'ot; ADONAI is his name!
Yeshua remained silent. The cohen hagadol said to him, "I put you under oath! By the living God, tell us if you are the Mashiach, the Son of God!"
Yeshua said to him, "The words are your own. But I tell you that one day you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of HaG'vurah and coming on the clouds of heaven."
At this, the cohen hagadol tore his robes. "Blasphemy!" he said. "Why do we still need witnesses? You heard him blaspheme!
What is your verdict?" "Guilty," they answered. "He deserves death!"
Then they spit in his face and pounded him with their fists; and those who were beating him
Because you have known me, you will also know my Father; from now on, you do know him — in fact, you have seen him.”
Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it will be enough for us.”
Yeshua replied to him, “Have I been with you so long without your knowing me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
Don’t you believe that I am united with the Father, and the Father united with me? What I am telling you, I am not saying on my own initiative; the Father living in me is doing his own works.
For the passage quoted says that everyone who rests his trust on him will not be humiliated.
That means that there is no difference between Jew and Gentile — Adonai is the same for everyone, rich toward everyone who calls on him,
since everyone who calls on the name of Adonai will be delivered.
Furthermore, he gave some people as emissaries, some as prophets, some as proclaimers of the Good News, and some as shepherds and teachers.
Their task is to equip God’s people for the work of service that builds the body of the Messiah,
until we all arrive at the unity implied by trusting and knowing the Son of God, at full manhood, at the standard of maturity set by the Messiah’s perfection.
As for husbands, love your wives, just as the Messiah loved the Messianic Community, indeed, gave himself up on its behalf,
in order to set it apart for God, making it clean through immersion in the mikveh, so to speak,
in order to present the Messianic Community to himself as a bride to be proud of, without a spot, wrinkle or any such thing, but holy and without defect.
This is how husbands ought to love their wives — like their own bodies; for the man who loves his wife is loving himself.
Why, no one ever hated his own flesh! On the contrary, he feeds it well and takes care of it, just as the Messiah does the Messianic Community,
because we are parts of his Body.
“Therefore a man will leave his father and mother and remain with his wife, and the two will become one.”
