  1. In the womb he took his brother by the heel; and in his manhood he had power with God:

  12. Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I say unto you I speak not from myself: but the Father abiding in me doeth his works.

  18. till we all attain unto the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a fullgrown man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

  19. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it;

  20. that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word,

  21. that he might present the church to himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

  22. Even so ought husbands also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his own wife loveth himself:

  23. for no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as Christ also the church;

  24. because we are members of his body.

  25. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh.
