  1. Bring ye to the Lord, O ye kindreds of the Gentiles, bring ye to the Lord glory and honour:

  2. Bring to the Lord glory unto his name. Bring up sacrifices, and come into his courts:

  3. And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercies.

  9. Because I called, and you refused: I stretched out my hand, and there was none that regarded.

  10. You have despised all my counsel, and have neglected my reprehensions.

  11. I also will laugh in your destruction, and will mock when that shall come to you which you feared.

  12. When sudden calamity shall fall on you, and destruction, as a tempest, shall be at hand: when tribulation and distress shall come upon you:

  13. Then shall they call upon me, and I will not hear: they shall rise in the morning, and shall not find me:

  14. Because they have hated instruction, and received not the fear of the Lord,

  15. Nor consented to my counsel, but despised all my reproof.

  16. Therefore they shall eat the fruit of their own way, and shall be filled with their own devices.

  17. The turning away of little ones shall kill them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.

  18. But he that shall hear me, shall rest without terror, and shall enjoy abundance, without fear of evils.

  19. Forsake childishness, and live, and walk by the ways of prudence.

  20. Boast not for to morrow, for thou knowest not what the day to come may bring forth.

  21. He that hideth his sins, shall not prosper: but he that shall confess, and forsake them, shall obtain mercy.

  22. Wash yourselves, be clean, take away the evil of your devices from my eyes, cease to do perversely,

  23. Learn to do well: seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge for the fatherless, defend the widow.

  24. The remnant shall be converted, the remnant, I say, of Jacob, to the mighty God.

  25. And the Lord, the God of hosts, in that day shall call to weeping, and to mourning, to baldness, and to girding with sackcloth:
