  1. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, the sheep under His care. Today, if you hear His voice,

  2. do not harden your hearts as you did at Meribah, in the day at Massah in the wilderness,

  3. And He remembered His covenant with them, and relented by the abundance of His loving devotion.

  13. Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; they will earnestly seek me, but will not find me.

  14. For they hated knowledge and chose not to fear the LORD.

  15. They accepted none of my counsel; they despised all my reproof.

  16. So they will eat the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.

  17. For the waywardness of the simple will slay them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them.

  18. But whoever listens to me will dwell in safety, secure from the fear of evil.”

  19. Leave your folly behind, and you will live; walk in the way of understanding.”

  20. Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.

  21. He who conceals his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them will find mercy.

  22. Wash and cleanse yourselves. Remove your evil deeds from My sight. Stop doing evil!

  23. Learn to do right; seek justice and correct the oppressor. Defend the fatherless and plead the case of the widow.”

  24. A remnant will return—a remnant of Jacob— to the Mighty God.
