  1. but now you also put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and shameful speaking out of your mouth.

  11. May the God of peace himself sanctify you completely. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.

  12. But you, man of God, flee these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and gentleness.

  13. Fight the good fight of faith. Lay hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you confessed the good confession in the sight of many witnesses.

  14. But shun empty chatter, for it will go further in ungodliness,

  15. and those words will consume like gangrene, of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;

  16. If anyone therefore purges himself from these, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, and suitable for the master’s use, prepared for every good work.

  17. Flee from youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

  18. Exhort servants to be in subjection to their own masters, and to be well-pleasing in all things; not contradicting;

  19. not stealing, but showing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God, our Savior, in all things.

  20. Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man will see the Lord,

  21. looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it;

  22. as children of obedience, not conforming yourselves according to your former lusts as in your ignorance,

  23. but just as he who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all of your behavior;

  24. because it is written, “You shall be holy; for I am holy.”

  25. Beloved, I beg you as foreigners and pilgrims, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
