  1. but now put off, even ye, the whole--anger, wrath, malice, evil-speaking, filthy talking--out of your mouth.

  12. and thou, O man of God, these things flee, and pursue righteousness, piety, faith, love, endurance, meekness;

  13. be striving the good strife of the faith, be laying hold on the life age-during, to which also thou wast called, and didst profess the right profession before many witnesses.

  14. and the profane vain talkings stand aloof from, for to more impiety they will advance,

  15. and their word as a gangrene will have pasture, of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus,

  16. if, then, any one may cleanse himself from these, he shall be a vessel to honour, sanctified and profitable to the master--to every good work having been prepared,

  17. and the youthful lusts flee thou, and pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace, with those calling upon the Lord out of a pure heart;

  18. Servants--to their own masters are to be subject, in all things to be well-pleasing, not gainsaying,

  19. not purloining, but showing all good stedfastness, that the teaching of God our Saviour they may adorn in all things.
