  1. But now put you also all away: anger, indignation, malice, blasphemy, filthy speech out of your mouth.

  12. But thou, O man of God, fly these things: and pursue justice, godliness, faith, charity, patience, mildness.

  13. Fight the good fight of faith. Lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art called and be it confessed a good confession before many witnesses.

  14. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they grow much towards ungodliness.

  15. And their speech spreadeth like a canker: of whom are Hymeneus and Philetus:

  16. If any man therefore shall cleanse himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified and profitable to the Lord, prepared unto every good work.

  17. But flee thou youthful desires, and pursue justice, faith, charity and peace with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

  18. Exhort servants to be obedient to their masters: in all things pleasing, not gainsaying:

  19. Not defrauding, but in all things shewing good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.

  20. Follow peace with all men and holiness: without which no man shall see God.

  21. Looking diligently, lest any man be wanting to the grace of God: lest any root of bitterness springing up do hinder and by it many be defiled:

  22. As children of obedience, not fashioned according to the former desires of your ignorance,

  23. But according to him that hath called you, who is holy, be you also in all manner of conversation holy:

  24. Because it is written: You shall be holy, for I am holy.

  25. Dearly beloved, I beseech you, as strangers and pilgrims, to refrain yourselves from carnal desires which war against the soul,
