  1. But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother.

  13. Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.

  14. For the same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me.

  15. Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;

  16. ¶ Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother,

  17. Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:

  18. But even after that we had suffered before, and were shamefully entreated, as ye know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak unto you the gospel of God with much contention.

  19. For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.

  20. For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews:

  21. Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men:

  22. For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.

  23. ¶ Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:

  24. Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

  25. We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;
