  1. For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.

  2. But though I be rude in speech, yet not in knowledge; but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things.

  3. ¶ Are they Hebrews? so am I. Are they Israelites? so am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? so am I.

  10. And through a window in a basket was I let down by the wall, and escaped his hands.

  11. ¶ It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.

  12. I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.

  13. And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;)

  14. How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

  15. And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

  16. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

  17. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

  18. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

  19. ¶ Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)

  20. For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:

  21. And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.

  22. But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,

  23. To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

  24. Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.

  25. Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days.
