Bible Verses About Warfare of Saints
Key Bible Verses
For when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on euery side, fightings without, and terrours within.
But God, that comforteth the abiect, comforted vs at the comming of Titus:
Neuerthelesse, though wee walke in the flesh, yet we doe not warre after the flesh.
(For the weapons of our warrefare are not carnall, but mightie through God, to cast downe holdes)
Casting downe the imaginations, and euery high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captiuitie euery thought to the obedience of Christ,
And lest I should be exalted out of measure through the aboundance of reuelations, there was giuen vnto me a pricke in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet mee, because I should not be exalted out of measure.
And he said vnto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my power is made perfect through weakenesse. Very gladly therefore will I reioyce rather in mine infirmities, that the power of Christ may dwell in me.
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary one to another, so that ye can not doe the same things that ye would.
For they that are Christes, haue crucified the flesh with the affections and the lustes.
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the assaultes of the deuil.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, and against the worldly gouernours, the princes of the darkenesse of this worlde, against spirituall wickednesses, which are in ye hie places.
For this cause take vnto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to resist in the euill day, and hauing finished all things, stand fast.
Stand therefore, and your loynes girded about with veritie, and hauing on the brest plate of righteousnesse,
And your feete shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace.
Aboue all, take the shielde of faith, wherewith ye may quench all the fierie dartes of the wicked,
And take the helmet of saluation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the worde of God.
And pray alwayes with all maner prayer and supplication in the Spirit: and watch thereunto with all perseuerance and supplication for al Saints,
Hauing the same fight, which ye sawe in me, and nowe heare to be in me.
Therefore let vs not sleepe as do other, but let vs watch and be sober.
But let vs which are of the day, be sober, putting on the brest plate of faith and loue, and of the hope of saluation for an helmet.
This commandement commit I vnto thee, sonne Timotheus, according to the prophecies, which went before vpon thee, that thou by them shouldest fight a good fight,
Hauing faith and a good conscience, which some haue put away, and as concerning faith, haue made shipwracke.
Fight the good fight of faith: lay holde of eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
Thou therefore suffer affliction as a good souldier of Iesus Christ.
No man that warreth, entangleth himselfe with the affaires of this life, because he woulde please him that hath chosen him to be a souldier.
