  2. The Lord fulfil all thy petitions: now have I known that the Lord hath saved his anointed. He will hear him from his holy heaven: the salvation of his right hand is in powers.

  3. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will call upon the name of the Lord, our God.

  4. They are bound, and have fallen: but we are risen, and are set upright.

  11. ¶ It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.

  12. ¶ I know, O LORD, that thy judgments are right, and that thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me.

  13. I looked on my right hand, and beheld, and there was no one that would know me. Flight hath failed me: and there is no one that hath regard to my soul.

  14. Nor consented to my counsel, but despised all my reproof.

  15. Why have I hated instruction, and my heart consented not to reproof,

  16. Because the commandment is a lamp, and the law a light, and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

  17. He that teacheth a scorner, doth an injury to himself; and he that rebuketh a wicked man, getteth himself a blot.

  18. Rebuke not a scorner, lest he hate thee. Rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.

  19. The way of life, to him that observeth correction: but he that forsaketh reproofs, goeth astray.

  20. He that loveth correction, loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof, is foolish.

  21. Poverty and shame to him that refuseth instruction: but he that yieldeth to reproof shall be glorified.

  22. A fool laugheth at the instruction of his father: but he that regardeth reproofs shall become prudent. In abundant justice there is the greatest strength: but the devices of the wicked shall be rooted out.

  23. Instruction is grievous to him that forsaketh the way of life: he that hateth reproof shall die.

  24. A corrupt man loveth not one that reproveth him: nor will he go to the wise.

  25. The ear that heareth the reproofs of life, shall abide in the midst of the wise.
