  1. But Peter sat without in the court. And there came to him a servant maid, saying: Thou also wast with Jesus the Galilean.

  2. But he denied before them all, saying: I know not what thou sayest.

  3. And as he went out of the gate, another maid saw him; and she saith to them that were there: This man also was with Jesus of Nazareth.

  4. And again he denied with an oath: I know not the man.

  5. And after a little while, they came that stood by and said to Peter: Surely thou also art one of them. For even thy speech doth discover thee.

  12. But he denied again. And after a, while they that stood by said again to Peter: Surely thou art one of them; for thou art also a Galilean.

  13. But he began o curse and to swear, saying: I know not this man of whom you speak.

  14. And immediately the cock crew again. And Peter remembered the word that Jesus had said unto him: Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt thrice deny me. And he began to weep,

  15. And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall and were sitting about it, Peter was in the midst of them.

  16. Whom when a certain servant maid had seen sitting at the light and had earnestly beheld him, she said: This man also was with him.

  17. But he denied him, saying: Woman, I know him not.

  18. And after a little while, another seeing him, said: Thou also art one of them. But Peter said: O man, I am not.

  19. And after the space, as it were of one hour, another certain man affirmed, saying: Of a truth, this man was also with him: for he is also a Galilean.

  20. And Peter said: Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, as he was yet speaking, the cock crew.

  21. And the Lord turning looked on Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, as he had said: Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny thrice.

  22. And Peter going out, wept bitterly.

  23. The maid therefore that was portress saith to Peter: Art not thou also one of this man's disciple? He saith I am not.

  24. Now the servants and ministers stood at a fire of coals, because it was cold, and warmed themselves. And with them was Peter also, standing and warming himself.

  25. And Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. They said therefore to him: Art not thou also one of his disciples? He denied it and said: I am not.
