  7. And he admitted not any man to follow him, but Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.

  8. And his garments became shining and exceeding white as snow, so as no fuller upon earth can make white.

  9. And James and John, the sons of Zebedee, come to him, saying: Master, we desire that whatsoever we shall ask, thou wouldst do it for us.

  10. And the ten, hearing it, began to be much displeased at James and John.

  11. And as he sat on the mount of Olivet over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him apart:

  12. And he taketh Peter and James and John with him: and he began to fear and to be heavy.

  13. And so were also James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were Simon's partners. And Jesus saith to Simon: Fear not: from henceforth thou shalt catch men.

  14. Simon, whom he surnamed Peter, and Andrew his brother, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew,

  15. And when he was come to the house, he suffered not any man to go in with him, but Peter and James and John, and the father and mother of the maiden.

  16. And it came to pass, about eight days after these words, that he took Peter and James and John and went up into a mountain to pray.

  17. And when his disciples, James and John, had seen this, they said: Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven and consume them?

  18. And he killed James, the brother of John, With the sword.
