Bible Verses About Lasciviousness

For my husband is not at home, he is gone a very long journey.

He took with him a bag of money: he will return home the day of the full moon.

She entangled him with many words, and drew him away with the flattery of her lips.

Immediately he followeth her as an ox led to be a victim, and as a lamb playing the wanton, and not knowing that he is drawn like a fool to bonds,

Till the arrow pierce his liver: as if a bird should make haste to the snare, and knoweth not that his life is in danger.

Now, therefore, my son, hear me, and attend to the words of my mouth.

Let not thy mind be drawn away in her ways: neither be thou deceived with her paths.

For she hath cast down many wounded, and the strongest have been slain by her.

Her house is the way to hell, reaching even to the inner chambers of death.

A foolish woman and clamorous, and full of allurements, and knowing nothing at all,

Sat at the door of her house, upon a seat, in a high place of the city,

To call them that pass by the way, and go on their journey:

He that is a little one, let him turn to me. And to the fool she said:

Stolen waters are sweeter, and hidden bread is more pleasant.

And he did not know that giants are there, and that her guests are in the depths of hell.

Three things are hard to me, and the fourth I am utterly ignorant of.

There are three things, which go well, and the fourth that walketh happily:

Such also is the way of an adulterous woman, who eateth and wipeth her mouth, and saith: I have done no evil.

For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,

Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness.

All these evil things come from within and defile a man.

For, professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

And they changed the glory of the incorruptible God into the likeness of the image of a corruptible man and of birds, and of fourfooted beasts and of creeping things.

Wherefore, God gave them up to the desires of their heart, unto uncleanness: to dishonour their own bodies among themselves.

Who changed the truth of God into a lie and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
