  1. For my soul was grieved, And I was pricked in my heart:

  2. So brutish was I, and ignorant; I wasasa beast before thee.

  3. Nevertheless I am continually with thee: Thou hast holden my right hand.

  4. Thou wilt guide me with thy counsel, And afterward receive me to glory.

  12. A brutish man knoweth not; Neither doth a fool understand this:

  13. When the wicked spring as the grass, And when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; It is that they shall be destroyed for ever.

  14. Jehovah, how long shall the wicked, How long shall the wicked triumph?

  15. They prate, they speak arrogantly: All the workers of iniquity boast themselves.

  16. They break in pieces thy people, O Jehovah, And afflict thy heritage.

  17. They slay the widow and the sojourner, And murder the fatherless.

  18. And they say, Jehovah will not see, Neither will the God of Jacob consider.

  19. Consider, ye brutish among the people; And ye fools, when will ye be wise?

  20. He turneth rivers into a wilderness, And watersprings into a thirsty ground;

  21. A fruitful land into a salt desert, For the wickedness of them that dwell therein.

  22. He turneth a wilderness into a pool of water, And a dry land into watersprings.

  23. And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, That they may prepare a city of habitation,

  24. And sow fields, and plant vineyards, And get them fruits of increase.

  25. He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; And he suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
