  1. And the border of the Canaanite was from Sidon, as thou goest toward Gerar, unto Gaza; as thou goest toward Sodom and Gomorrah and Admah and Zeboiim, unto Lasha.

  10. And the king of Sodom went out to meet him, after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer and the kings that were with him, at the vale of Shaveh (the same is the King’s Vale).

  11. And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself.

  12. And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lifted up my hand unto Jehovah, God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth,

  13. And the men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way.

  14. And Jehovah said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;

  15. And the men turned from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before Jehovah.

  16. And Jehovah said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sake.

  17. And the two angels came to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot saw them, and rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face to the earth;

  18. But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both young and old, all the people from every quarter;

  19. Then Jehovah rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from Jehovah out of heaven;

  20. and he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the Plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the land went up as the smoke of a furnace.

  21. and that the whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, and a burning, that it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any grass groweth therein, like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which Jehovah overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath:

  22. For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, And of the fields of Gomorrah: Their grapes are grapes of gall, Their clusters are bitter:

  23. Except Jehovah of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, we should have been like unto Gomorrah.

  24. Hear the word of Jehovah, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.

  25. The show of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have done evil unto themselves.
