  1. For my soul was grieved. I was embittered in my heart.

  13. though the wicked spring up as the grass, and all the evildoers flourish, they will be destroyed forever.

  14. LORD, how long will the wicked, how long will the wicked triumph?

  15. They pour out arrogant words. All the evildoers boast.

  16. They break your people in pieces, LORD, and afflict your heritage.

  17. They kill the widow and the alien, and murder the fatherless.

  18. They say, “The LORD will not see, neither will Jacob’s God consider.”

  19. Consider, you senseless among the people; you fools, when will you be wise?

  20. He turns rivers into a desert, water springs into a thirsty ground,

  21. and a fruitful land into a salt waste, for the wickedness of those who dwell in it.

  22. He turns a desert into a pool of water, and a dry land into water springs.

  23. There he makes the hungry live, that they may prepare a city to live in,

  24. sow fields, plant vineyards, and reap the fruits of increase.

  25. He blesses them also, so that they are multiplied greatly. He doesn’t allow their livestock to decrease.
