  1. And if he refuse to hear them, tell it unto the church: and if he refuse to hear the church also, let him be unto thee as the Gentile and the publican.

  13. For as thou art going with thine adversary before the magistrate, on the way give diligence to be quit of him; lest haply he drag thee unto the judge, and the judge shall deliver thee to the officer, and the officer shall cast thee into prison.

  14. I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou have paid the very last mite.

  15. And there arose also a contention among them, which of them was accounted to be greatest.

  16. And when Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and questioning with them, the brethren appointed that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.

  17. And there arose a sharp contention, so that they parted asunder one from the other, and Barnabas took Mark with him, and sailed away unto Cyprus:

  18. And when he had so said, there arose a dissension between the Pharisees and Sadducees; and the assembly was divided.

  19. but unto them that are factious, and obey not the truth, but obey unrighteousness, shall be wrath and indignation,

  20. If it be possible, as much as in you lieth, be at peace with all men.

  21. Let us walk becomingly, as in the day; not in revelling and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and jealousy.

  22. But him that is weak in faith receive ye, yet not for decision of scruples.

  23. So then let us follow after things which make for peace, and things whereby we may edify one another.

  24. It is good not to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor to do anything whereby thy brother stumbleth.

  25. Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them that are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which ye learned: and turn away from them.
