  1. He shall not strive, nor cry aloud; Neither shall any one hear his voice in the streets.

  9. Now this is come to pass, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying,

  10. Tell ye the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, Meek, and riding upon an ass, And upon a colt the foal of an ass.

  11. And Jesus entered into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money-changers, and the seats of them that sold the doves;

  12. Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, The same was made the head of the corner; This was from the Lord, And it is marvellous in our eyes?

  13. and said, What are ye willing to give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they weighed unto him thirty pieces of silver.

  14. Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended in me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.

  15. But all this is come to pass, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples left him, and fled.

  16. But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou art the Christ, the Son of God.

  17. And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter’s field, to bury strangers in.

  18. And when he was accused by the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.

  19. Then saith Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee?

  20. And he gave him no answer, not even to one word: insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.

  21. And they spat upon him, and took the reed and smote him on the head.

  22. they gave him wine to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted it, he would not drink.

  23. And when they had crucified him, they parted his garments among them, casting lots;

  24. And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads,

  25. and saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself: if thou art the Son of God, come down from the cross.
