  1. No plant of the field was yet in the earth, and no herb of the field had yet sprung up; for the LORD God had not caused it to rain on the earth. There was not a man to till the ground,

  2. but a mist went up from the earth, and watered the whole surface of the ground.

  3. Isaac his father answered him, “Behold, of the fatness of the earth will be your dwelling, and of the dew of the sky from above.

  4. He commands the sun, and it doesn’t rise, and seals up the stars.

  10. For he looks to the ends of the earth, and sees under the whole sky.

  11. He establishes the force of the wind. Yes, he measures out the waters by measure.

  12. When he made a decree for the rain, and a way for the lightning of the thunder;

  13. then he saw it, and declared it. He established it, yes, and searched it out.

  14. My root is spread out to the waters. The dew lies all night on my branch.

  15. For he draws up the drops of water, which distill in rain from his vapor,

  16. Which the skies pour down and which drop on man abundantly.

  17. Yes, can any understand the spreading of the clouds, and the thunderings of his pavilion?

  18. Behold, he spreads his light around him. He covers the bottom of the sea.

  19. For by these he judges the people. He gives food in abundance.

  20. He covers his hands with the lightning, and commands it to strike the mark.

  21. Its noise tells about him, and the livestock also concerning the storm that comes up.

  22. For he says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth;’ likewise to the shower of rain, and to the showers of his mighty rain.

  23. He seals up the hand of every man, that all men whom he has made may know it.

  24. Then the animals take cover, and remain in their dens.

  25. Out of its room comes the storm, and cold out of the north.
