  1. And euery plant of the fielde, before it was in the earth, and euery herbe of the field, before it grewe: for the Lord God had not caused it to raine vpon the earth, neither was there a man to till the ground,

  2. But a myst went vp from the earth, and watered all the earth.

  3. Then Izhak his father answered, and sayde vnto him, Behold, the fatnesse of the earth shall be thy dwelling place, and thou shalt haue of the dewe of heauen from aboue.

  8. Terrours shall take him as waters, and a tempest shall cary him away by night.

  9. The East winde shall take him away, and he shall depart: and it shall hurle him out of his place.

  10. For he beholdeth the endes of the world, and seeth all that is vnder heauen,

  11. To make the weight of the windes, and to weigh the waters by measure.

  12. When he made a decree for the rayne, and a way for the lightening of the thunders,

  13. Then did he see it, and counted it: he prepared it and also considered it.

  14. For my roote is spread out by the water, and the dewe shall lye vpon my branche.

  15. When he restraineth the droppes of water, the rayne powreth down by the vapour thereof,

  16. Which raine the cloudes do droppe and let fall abundantly vpon man.

  17. Who can know the diuisions of ye clouds and the thunders of his tabernacle?

  18. Beholde, he spreadeth his light vpon it, and couereth the bottome of the sea.

  19. For thereby hee iudgeth the people, and giueth meate abundantly.

  20. He couereth the light with the clouds, and commandeth them to go against it.

  21. His companion sheweth him thereof, and there is anger in rising vp.

  22. For he sayth to the snowe, Be thou vpon the earth: likewise to the small rayne and to the great rayne of his power.

  23. With the force thereof he shutteth vp euery man, that all men may knowe his worke.

  24. Then the beastes go into the denne, and remaine in their places.

  25. The whirlewind commeth out of the South, and the colde from the North winde.
