  1. Behold, you have instructed many, you have strengthened the weak hands.

  2. Your words have supported him who was falling, You have made firm the feeble knees.

  3. But now it has come to you, and you faint. It touches you, and you are troubled.

  17. You have turned to be cruel to me. With the might of your hand you persecute me.

  18. Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him for the saving help of his presence.

  19. My God, my soul is in despair within me. Therefore I remember you from the land of the Jordan, the heights of Hermon, from the hill Mizar.

  20. Surely in vain I have cleansed my heart, and washed my hands in innocence,

  22. If I had said, “I will speak thus”; behold, I would have betrayed the generation of your children.

  23. When I tried to understand this, it was too painful for me;

  24. Until I entered God’s sanctuary, and considered their latter end.

  25. “Will the Lord reject us forever? Will he be favorable no more?
