  1. I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.

  9. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

  10. I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

  11. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

  12. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

  13. And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

  14. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

  15. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:

  16. But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

  17. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

  18. For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.

  19. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

  20. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

  21. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

  22. ¶ Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

  23. Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

  24. Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
