  1. When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

  2. Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

  3. Hath given forth upon usury, and hath taken increase: shall he then live? he shall not live: he hath done all these abominations; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon him.

  4. The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

  5. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

  6. ¶ My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

  7. As they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame.

  8. They eat up the sin of my people, and they set their heart on their iniquity.

  9. And there shall be, like people, like priest: and I will punish them for their ways, and reward them their doings.

  10. The LORD hath also a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his doings will he recompense him.

  11. You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.

  12. That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,

  13. And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

  14. But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

  15. Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

  16. But I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the day of judgment, than for you.

  17. And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.

  18. But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.

  19. For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

  20. Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

  21. Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:

  22. That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

  23. Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.

  24. When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

  25. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
