  1. For though I bee free from all men, yet haue I made my selfe seruant vnto all men, that I might winne the moe.

  2. And this I doe for the Gospels sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.

  3. And euery man that proueth masteries, abstaineth from all things: and they do it to obtaine a corruptible crowne: but we for an vncorruptible.

  4. I therefore so runne, not as vncertainely: so fight I, not as one that beateth the ayre.

  5. But I beate downe my body, and bring it into subiection, lest by any meanes after that I haue preached to other, I my selfe should be reproued.

  6. All things are lawfull for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawfull for me, but all things edifie not.

  11. But in all things we approue our selues as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,

  12. In stripes, in prisons, in tumults, in labours,

  13. I am crucified with Christ, but I liue, yet not I any more, but Christ liueth in me: and in that that I now liue in the flesh, I liue by the faith in the Sonne of God, who hath loued me, and giuen him selfe for me.

  14. Then I say, Walke in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lustes of the flesh.

  15. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary one to another, so that ye can not doe the same things that ye would.

  16. For they that are Christes, haue crucified the flesh with the affections and the lustes.

  17. But God forbid that I should reioyce, but in ye crosse of our Lord Iesus Christ, whereby the world is crucified vnto me, and I vnto ye world.

  18. That is, that yee cast off, concerning the conuersation in time past, that olde man, which is corrupt through the deceiueable lustes,

  19. Looke not euery man on his owne things, but euery man also on the things of other men.

  20. Who being in ye forme of God, thought it no robberie to be equall with God:

  21. But he made himself of no reputation, and tooke on him ye forme of a seruant, and was made like vnto men, and was founde in shape as a man.

  22. He humbled himselfe, and became obedient vnto the death, euen the death of the Crosse.

  23. But the thinges that were vantage vnto me, the same I counted losse for Christes sake.

  24. Yea, doubtlesse I thinke all thinges but losse for the excellent knowledge sake of Christ Iesus my Lord, for whome I haue counted all things losse, and doe iudge them to bee dongue, that I might winne Christ,

  25. And might bee founde in him, that is, not hauing mine owne righteousnesse, which is of the Lawe, but that which is through the faith of Christ, euen the righteousnesse which is of God through faith,
