  1. Then the Lord turned backe, and looked vpon Peter: and Peter remembred the worde of the Lord, how he had said vnto him, Before the cocke crowe, thou shalt denie me thrise.

  2. And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.

  3. Then arose Peter, and ran vnto the sepulchre, and looked in, and saw the linnen clothes laide by themselues, and departed wondering in himselfe at that which was come to passe.

  4. Which said, The Lord is risen in deede, and hath appeared to Simon.

  5. And he brought him to Iesus. And Iesus behelde him, and saide, Thou art Simon the sonne of Iona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, a stone.

  6. Then Simon Peter answered him, Master, to whome shall we goe? thou hast the wordes of eternall life:

  7. And we beleeue and knowe that thou art that Christ that Sonne of the liuing God.

  8. Simon Peter said vnto him, Lord, whither goest thou? Iesus answered him, Whither I goe, thou canst not follow me nowe: but thou shalt follow me afterward.

  9. Peter sayd vnto him, Lord, why can I not follow thee now? I will lay downe my life for thy sake.

  10. Iesus answered him, Wilt thou lay downe thy life for my sake? Verely, verely I say vnto thee, The cocke shall not crowe, till thou haue denied me thrise.

  11. Nowe Simon Peter folowed Iesus, and another disciple, and that disciple was knowen of the hie Priest: therefore he went in with Iesus into the hall of the hie Priest:

  12. Then saide the maide that kept the doore, vnto Peter, Art not thou also one of this mans disciples? He sayd, I am not.

  13. And the seruants and officers stoode there, which had made a fire of coles: for it was colde, and they warmed themselues. And Peter also stood among them, and warmed himselfe.

  14. And Simon Peter stoode and warmed himselfe, and they said vnto him, Art not thou also of his disciples? He denied it, and said, I am not.

  15. One of the seruaunts of the hie Priest, his cousin whose eare Peter smote off, saide, Did not I see thee in the garden with him?

  16. Peter then denied againe, and immediatly the cocke crewe.

  17. Then she ranne, and came to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple whom Iesus loued, and saide vnto them, They haue taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we knowe not where they haue laid him.

  18. Peter therefore went forth, and the other disciple, and they came vnto the sepulchre.

  19. So they ranne both together, but the other disciple did outrunne Peter, and came first to the sepulchre.

  20. And he stouped downe, and sawe the linnen clothes lying: yet went he not in.

  21. Then came Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and sawe the linnen clothes lye,

  22. After these things, Iesus shewed himselfe againe to his disciples at the sea of Tiberias: and thus shewed he himselfe:

  23. There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas, which is called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galile, and the sonnes of Zebedeus, and two other of his disciples.

  24. Simon Peter said vnto them, I go a fishing. They said vnto him, We also will goe with thee. They went their way and entred into a ship straightway, and that night caught they nothing.

  25. But when the morning was nowe come, Iesus stoode on the shore: neuerthelesse the disciples knewe not that it was Iesus.
