  1. For the woman was a Gentile, a Syrophenician born. And she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter.

  11. But it is not so among you: but whosoever will be greater shall be your minister.

  12. And whosoever will be first among you shall be the servant of all.

  13. For the Son of man also is not come to be ministered unto: but to minister and to give his life a redemption for many.

  14. And they that went before and they that followed cried, saying: Hosanna: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

  15. Blessed be the kingdom of our father David that cometh: Hosanna in the highest.

  16. And the next day when they came out from Bethania, he was hungry.

  17. And when he had seen afar off a fig tree having leaves, he came, if perhaps he might find any thing on it. And when he was come to it, he found nothing but leaves. For it was not the time for figs.

  18. And answering he said to it: May no man hereafter eat fruit of thee any more for ever! And his disciples heard it.

  19. And he began to speak to them in parables: A certain man planted a vineyard and made a hedge about it and dug a place for the winefat and built a tower and let it to husbandmen: and went into a far country.

  20. And at the season he sent to the husbandmen a servant to receive of the husbandmen of the fruit of the vineyard.

  21. Who, having laid hands on him, beat and sent him away empty.

  22. And again he sent to them another servant: and him they wounded in the head and used him reproachfully.

  23. And again he sent another, and him they killed: and many others, of whom some they beat, and others they killed.

  24. Therefore, having yet one son, most dear to him, he also sent him unto them last of all, saying: They will reverence my son.

  25. But the husbandmen said one to another: This is the heir. Come let us kill him and the inheritance shall be ours.
