  1. And then shall he send his angels and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

  2. Now of the fig tree learn ye a parable. When the branch thereof is now tender and the leaves are come forth, you know that summer is very near.

  3. So you also when you shall see these things come to pass, know ye that it is very nigh, even at the doors.

  4. Amen, I say to you that this generation shall not pass until all these things be done.

  5. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my word shall not pass away.

  6. But of that day or hour no man knoweth, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father.

  7. Take ye heed, watch and pray. For ye know not when the time is.

  8. Even as a man who, going into a far country, left his house and gave authority to his servants over every work and commanded the porter to watch.

  9. Watch ye therefore (for you know not when the lord of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cock crowing, or in the morning):

  10. Lest coming on a sudden, he find you sleeping.

  11. And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch.

  12. Men withering away for fear and expectation of what shall come upon the whole world. For the powers of heaven shall be moved.

  13. And then they shall see the Son of man coming in a cloud, with great power and majesty.

  14. But when these things begin to come to pass, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is at hand.

  15. And he spoke to them a similitude. See the fig tree and all the trees:

  16. When they now shoot forth their fruit, you know that summer is nigh;

  17. So you also, when you shall see these things come to pass, know that the kingdom of God is at hand.

  18. Amen, I say to you, this generation shall not pass away till all things be fulfilled.

  19. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

  20. And take heed to yourselves, lest perhaps your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting and drunkenness and the cares of this life: and that day come upon you suddenly.

  21. For as a snare shall it come upon all that sit upon the face of the whole earth.

  22. Watch ye, therefore, praying at all times, that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that are to come and to stand before the Son of man.

  23. For the expectation of the creature waiteth for the revelation of the sons of God.

  24. For the creature was made subject to vanity: not willingly, but by reason of him that made it subject, in hope.

  25. Because the creature also itself shall be delivered from the servitude of corruption, into the liberty of the glory of the children of God.
