Purifying your souls in the obedience of charity, with a brotherly love, from a sincere heart love one another earnestly:
Because Christ also died once for our sins, the just for the unjust: that he might offer us to God, being put to death indeed in the flesh, but enlivened in the spirit,

And he that keepeth his commandments abideth in him, and he in him. And in this we know that he abideth in us by the Spirit which he hath given us.
By this is the spirit of God known. Every spirit which confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
In this we know that we abide in him, and he in us: because he hath given us of his spirit.
This is he that came by water and blood, Jesus Christ: not by water only but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit which testifieth that Christ is the truth.
And there are Three who give testimony in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost. And these three are one.
And there are three that give testimony on earth: the spirit and the water and the blood. And these three are one.
These are they who separate themselves, sensual men, having not the Spirit.
But you, my beloved, building yourselves upon your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
John to the seven churches which are in Asia. Grace be unto you and peace, from him that is and that was and that is to come: and from the seven spirits which are before his throne:
I was in the spirit on the Lord's day and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,

And I heard a voice from heaven, saying to me: Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord. From henceforth now, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours. For their works follow them.
