Holy Spirit

And be not drunk with wine, wherein is luxury: but be ye filled with the Holy Spirit,

And take unto you the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit (which is the word of God).

By all prayer and supplication praying at all times in the spirit: and in the same watching with all instance and supplication for all the saints:

For I know that this shall fall out to me unto salvation, through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of charity, if any society of the spirit, if any bowels of commiseration:

Who also hath manifested your love in the spirit.

For our gospel hath not been unto you in word only, but in power also: and in the Holy Ghost and in much fulness, as you know what manner of men we have been among you for your sakes.

And you became followers of us and of the Lord: receiving the word in much tribulation, with joy of the Holy Ghost:

Therefore, he that despiseth these things, despiseth not man, but God, who also hath given his holy Spirit in us.

Extinguish not the spirit.

Whereunto also he hath called you by our gospel, unto the purchasing of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

And evidently great is the mystery of godliness, which was manifested in the flesh, was justified in the spirit, appeared unto angels, hath been preached unto the Gentiles, is believed in the world, is taken up in glory.

Now the Spirit manifestly saith that in the last times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to spirits of error and doctrines of devils,

Keep the good thing committed to thy trust by the Holy Ghost who dwelleth in us.

Not by the works of justice which we have done, but according to his mercy, he saved us, by the laver of regeneration and renovation of the Holy Ghost.

God also bearing them witness by signs and wonders and divers miracles and distributions of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will.

Wherefore, as the Holy Ghost saith: To-day if you shall hear his voice,

For it is impossible for those who were once illuminated, have tasted also the heavenly gift and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

The Holy Ghost signifying this: That the way into the Holies was not yet made manifest, whilst the former tabernacle was yet standing.

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who by the Holy Ghost offered himself unspotted unto God, cleanse our conscience from dead works, to serve the living God?

And the Holy Ghost also doth testify this to us. For after that he said:

How much more, do you think he deserveth worse punishments, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God and hath esteemed the blood of the testament unclean, by which he was sanctified, and hath offered an affront to the Spirit of grace?

According to the foreknowledge of God the Father, unto the sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ. Grace unto you and peace be multiplied.

Searching what or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ in them did signify, when it foretold those sufferings that are in Christ and the glories that should follow.

To whom it was revealed that, not to themselves but to you, they ministered those things which are now declared to you by them that have preached the gospel to you: the Holy Ghost being sent down from heaven, on whom the angels desire to look.
