  1. Remain deeply rooted in him; continue being built up in him and confirmed in your trust, the way you were taught, so that you overflow in thanksgiving.

  2. so that now we are alive; since you continue to stand fast, united with the Lord.

  3. so that he may give you the inner strength to be blameless, by reason of your holiness, when you stand before God our Father at the coming of our Lord Yeshua with all his angels.

  4. But do test everything — hold onto what is good,

  5. Therefore, brothers, stand firm; and hold to the traditions you were taught by us, whether we spoke them or wrote them in a letter.

  6. And may our Lord Yeshua the Messiah himself and God our Father, who has loved us and by his grace given us eternal comfort and a good hope,

  7. comfort your hearts and strengthen you in every good word and deed.

  8. And you brothers who are doing what is good, don’t slack off!

  9. and this is why I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, because I know him in whom I have put my trust, and I am persuaded that he can keep safe until that Day what he has entrusted to me.

  10. Follow the pattern of the sound teachings you have heard from me, with trust and the love which is yours in the Messiah Yeshua.

  11. So then, you, my son, be empowered by the grace that comes from the Messiah Yeshua.

  12. Accept your share in suffering disgrace as a good soldier of the Messiah Yeshua.

  13. If we persevere, we will also rule with him If we disown him, he will also disown us.

  14. But you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, recalling the people from whom you learned it;

  15. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

  16. The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and bring me safely into his heavenly Kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

  17. He must hold firmly to the trustworthy Message that agrees with the doctrine; so that by his sound teaching he will be able to exhort and encourage, and also to refute those who speak against it.

  18. Therefore, we must pay much more careful heed to the things we have heard, so that we will not drift away.

  19. Also, Moshe was faithful in all God’s house, as a servant giving witness to things God would divulge later.

  20. But the Messiah, as Son, was faithful over God’s house. And we are that house of his, provided we hold firmly to the courage and confidence inspired by what we hope for.

  21. For we have become sharers in the Messiah, provided, however, that we hold firmly to the conviction we began with, right through until the goal is reached.

  22. Therefore, since we have a great cohen gadol who has passed through to the highest heaven, Yeshua, the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we acknowledge as true.

  23. Therefore, leaving behind the initial lessons about the Messiah, let us go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of turning from works that lead to death, trusting God,

  24. For when people have once been enlightened, tasted the heavenly gift, become sharers in the Ruach HaKodesh,

  25. and tasted the goodness of God’s Word and the powers of the ‘olam haba —
