Bible Verses About Perseverance
Key Bible Verses
Rooted and built up in him and confirmed in the faith, as also you have learned: abounding in him in thanksgiving.
Because now we live, if you stand in the Lord.
To confirm your hearts without blame, in holiness, before God and our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, with all his saints. Amen.
But prove all things: hold fast that which is good.
Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God and our Father, who hath loved us and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope in grace,
Exhort your hearts and confirm you in every good work and word.
Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.
But you, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
For which cause, I also suffer these things: but I am not ashamed. For I know whom I have believed and I am certain that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him, against that day.
Hold the form of sound words which thou hast heard of me: in faith and in the love which is in Christ Jesus.
Thou therefore, my son, be strong in Christ Jesus:
Labour as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
If we suffer, we shall also reign with him. If we deny him, he will also deny us.
But continue thou in those things which thou hast learned and which have been committed to thee. Knowing of whom thou hast learned them:
I have fought a good fight: I have finished my course: I have kept the faith.
The Lord hath delivered me from every evil work and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom. To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Embracing that faithful word which is according to doctrine, that he may be able to exhort in sound doctrine and to convince the gainsayers.
Therefore ought we more diligently to observe the things which we have heard lest perhaps we should let them slip.
And Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be said:
But Christ, as the Son in his own house: which house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and glory of hope unto the end.
For we are made partakers of Christ: yet so, if we hold the beginning of his substance firm unto the end.
Having therefore a great high priest that hath passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God: let us hold fast our confession.
Wherefore, leaving the word of the beginning of Christ, let us go on to things more perfect: not laying again the foundation of penance from dead works and of faith towards God,
For it is impossible for those who were once illuminated, have tasted also the heavenly gift and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
Have moreover tasted the good word of God and the powers of the world to come,
