  1. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I come again, and will receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

  2. And when he had said these things, as they were looking, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

  3. And while they were looking stedfastly into heaven as he went, behold two men stood by them in white apparel;

  4. who also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye looking into heaven? this Jesus, who was received up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye beheld him going into heaven.

  7. whom the heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, whereof God spake by the mouth of his holy prophets that have been from of old.

  8. knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death no more hath dominion over him.

  9. For the death that he died, he died unto sin once: but the life that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

  10. that the creation itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the liberty of the glory of the children of God.

  11. The night is far spent, and the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.

  12. so that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ;

  13. who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye be unreproveable in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  14. Wherefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and make manifest the counsels of the hearts; and then shall each man have his praise from God.

  15. For he must reign, till he hath put all his enemies under his feet.

  16. The last enemy that shall be abolished is death.

  17. being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ:

  18. For our citizenship is in heaven; whence also we wait for a Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

  19. who shall fashion anew the body of our humiliation, that it may be conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working whereby he is able even to subject all things unto himself.

  20. Let your forbearance be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

  21. When Christ, who is our life, shall be manifested, then shall ye also with him be manifested in glory.

  22. and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, who delivereth us from the wrath to come.

  23. to the end he may establish your hearts unblamable in holiness before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.

  24. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven, with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first;

  25. then we that are alive, that are left, shall together with them be caught up in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
